Festival Guide For Local Event in Costa Del Sol

If you truly want to understand the culture of the Malaga province, you'll need to know about the many wondrous festivals that take place up and down Spain's southern coast. They are a great time to get to know your neighbors and watch the community come together with good food, dancing, costumes, and even better company. The celebrations never stop when you live in a place with round-the-clock sunshine!

Festival Marbella Todo Danza
From mid-April to the end of May, Marbella celebrates traditional Andalusian dancing. It features exhibitions, performances, and workshops. It's made for people of all ages to come out and get their groove on! It doesn't matter if you've never danced before; they are more than willing to teach you.

Cordoba Patio Festival
The festival has been given UNESCO World Heritage status because it's so beloved. Everyone living in Cordoba displays their best flowers on their patios so that passersby can come and ooh and aah at the beautiful colors. Near the end of May, this festival also has live music and dancing.

Fuengirola Comic Con
No matter where you're from, you likely have a Comic-Con nearby. Well, living in Costa del Sol isn't any different because Fuengirola holds its own convention on June 4th every year. You can find everything there, from comics to TV shows, movies, anime, k-pop, and, of course, gorgeous cosplay. No Comic Con is complete without panels with celebrities and entertainment industry professionals. It might not be exactly what you're used to in larger cities, but it's much cheaper in Spain, and you won't have to worry about massive crowds either.

Torremolinos Pride
Pride week is a major event in Torremolinos, and a large number of members of the LGBTQ community turn out to march, host concerts, and have a ton of fun. Why not share the love and join them in the rainbow connection?

Fair of the Virgin Del Carmen
Virgin del Carmen is the patron saint of sailors, and she's celebrated on July 16th. Everyone in Torremolinos gathers in La Carihuela for a procession and mass held in her honor. There's plenty of singing and traditional entertainment throughout the day, as well as freshly caught fish cooked in honor of Virgin del Carmen.

Gamepolis
You'll love this end of July festival if you're a dedicated gamer. It's the biggest gaming event in Spain! Streamers, video game designers, and more all congregate to celebrate having a good time in the virtual world.

La Cala De Mijas Music Festival
You can enjoy amazing live music during the first few days of September. Every year, the festival invites famous artists from around the world to come and play, so make sure you get your tickets in advance!

Feria de San Miguel
This traditional fair takes place at the end of September and the beginning of October. It's held in Ubeda and considered well worth the travel. During the day, you'll see a religious parade, and once the sun sets, the place comes alive with light, sound, food, and dancing. Festival Guide For Local Event in Costa Del Sol.
